Voting in Imperial County

Join the Imperial County Registrar of Voters by attending one of the many series of public workshops throughout the Imperial Valley.  The purpose of the Election Administration Plan (EAP) workshops is to gather valuable input from the public regarding the Draft Election Administration Plan.  These workshops are an important opportunity for the community members to share their feedback, ask questions, and help ensure that the election process is accessible, transparent, and inclusive for all voters.  your participation is encouraged and appreciated.

What is EAP:  In California, an Election Administration Plan (EAP) is a comprehensive document that outlines how counties participating in the Voter's Choice Act (VCA) will conduct elections.  The VCA modernizes elections by providing greater flexibility and convenience for voters, and the EAP details how this is achieved within each county.
Specifically, the EAP addresses various aspects of election administration, including:
  • Voter Education and Outreach: How the county will inform voters about the VCA election model, the voting process, and the available services.
  • Vote Centers and Ballot Drop Boxes: Plans for selecting, establishing, and operating Vote Centers (which replace traditional polling places) and Ballot Drop Boxes.
  • Language and Accessible Services: Ensuring access and assistance for voters with disabilities and those needing multilingual services.
  • Security and Contingency Plans: Measures to safeguard the integrity of the election and plans for addressing unforeseen circumstances.
